Photography I Standards

Content Standards

1. Describe the history of photography and its impact.
2. Use pinhole cameras to create paper negatives and positives.
3. Evaluate photography using the D. I. E. method.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of visual composition.
5. Use a manual 35mm camera to take photos.
6. Process black and white film in the classroom.
7. Use enlargers to produce black and white prints.
8. Demonstrate proficiency in photo terminology and equipment.

Process Standards

1. Students will exhibit efficient time management skills.
2. Students will show responsible care of equipment.
3. Students will provide constructive criticism when examining other artwork.
4. Students will keep their materials organized.
5. Students will follow the safety guidelines.
6. Students will work effectively with others in small group settings.
7. Students will identify and analyze processes and problems encountered in photography.
