Drugs from the Sea

Once you have read the article, "Drugs From the Sea," you are to write in your journal. In your journal I would like to see you express your thoughts and concerns about this article. I would like the journal entry to be 1-2 pages in length. This does not have to be typed, but if you wish it will be worth 5 extra credit points.

In your journal you should tell me what is the goal of this process. How are you going about replicating research processes outside of the ocean? Why did they bring in folk medicine in the article? What is the procedure for trying to get a new drug approved by the FDA? And last but not least, what accomplishments had Fenical made in this field?
