Writing a Good Paragraph Unit


Content Standards
1. Students will be able to recall and list information about a particular topic.
2. Students will be able to organize information prior to writing.
3. Students will be able to write a good topic sentence.
4. Students will use a variety of transitions in their writing.
5. Students will write using good word choices.
6. Students will write using specific details and elaboration.



Process Standards
1. Students will equally contribute ideas in a group.
2. Students will encourage others.
3. Students will identify strengths and weaknesses of writing pieces and offer suggestions for improvement of their own work and the work of others.
4. Students will edit sentences for punctuation, capitalization, and spelling mistakes.
