Here is a link to the standards of each of the 50 states. Select the standards from one content area from a state other than Illinois. Using the characteristics of good standards discussed in class and the readings, critique the standards you selected. A few of the questions you might ask: Do the standards capture truly meaningful learning? Are they written in observable and measurable language? Are there too many or too few?
The critique should be approximately 1-1/2 to 3 typed, double-spaced pages. You do not need to attach the standards to your critique. However, so that I am sure which standards you are critiquing, identify the specific ones in your paper and include the web address of those standards.
Critique 1 can be rewritten for a higher grade.
